Description
Alcohol dries hair and skin, right?
Yes, alcohol indeed dries skin and hair. But only if you pour it onto your skin or hair. A small amount of alcohol mixed in a personal care product doesn’t have enough strength to dry your hair or skin. In contrast, alcohol in personal care products has far more benefits than harm. Matter of fact, it would be dumb not to use it for hair and body mist products.
It doesn’t mean you can use any type of alcohol. There are several types of alcohol and we must ethically choose the right one.
It’s all about controlling pH.
Is your hair and skin acidic or alkaline? Is either one bad or good? In a short answer, it is “good” when it is in perfect balance and it is “bad” when it is tiled on either side.
In our laboratory study, aloe vera juice neutralized far better than water (aqua) in hair and body mist formula. Aloe vera juice contains proteolytic enzymes that repair dead skin cells on the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves your hair all smooth and shiny. So, we decided not to use water and only use pure aloe vera juice. Simple.
People love vitamin in their regiments.
Panthenol, aka “Pro-vitamin B5,” is known to deposit nourishing moisture deeply into the cortex of the hair, as well as deep within the various layers of the skin. But how much of vitamin do we have to put in our products to get all that benefit? A lot.
Unfortunately in hair and body mist, we can’t add too much of it but we decided to add as much as our formulation allows.
What about fragrance?
We presented about 30 different fragrances at a beauty store in the Washington DC area for about a year. The customers spoke and we listened.
We notice there is a growing number of customers who want to see more essential oil fragrances and we decided to add a collection during the second phase of the product launch. But for our first launch, we narrowed down to top-six fragrance oils.
How expensive is it?
As an indie brand, we are starting all our products on small scale. We don’t spend millions of dollars in marketing as big corporates do. In other words, our price is naked.
